Lifting Threads and Filling Threads Differ

Blue Rose is a thread with small protrusions that works by hooking, pulling, and securing the tissue of a sagging cheek and jawline.
JAMBER is a spring-shaped thread that fills sunken nasolabial folds and under-eye areas, and is inserted with a round-tipped cannula.

A Nose-Specific Thread Is Used for the Nose

A HIKO thread is inserted along the nasal bridge to help define the line of the nose.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • In a thread lift, does each type of thread serve a different purpose?

At LOERE, threads are chosen according to purpose. Blue Rose is used to lift and secure a sagging cheek and jawline, JAMBER to restore volume in hollow areas, and HIKO to define the line of the nose. Even within thread lifting, the choice differs depending on the area and purpose.

  • What happens to the threads later?

Dissolvable threads (PDO) are used. The threads dissolve over time and may stimulate collagen production as they dissolve.

  • How is a thread placed in the nose different from filler?

HIKO is a thread inserted along the nasal bridge to define the line of the nose. We decide between thread and filler based on the nose shape you want and your skin condition.

  • Can a thread lift resolve even severe sagging?

For severe sagging, surgery may be more appropriate than a thread lift. We first check the degree of sagging and your skin condition, then explain how much can be lifted with threads and what change you can expect.

  • Are there cases in which I cannot have the treatment?

Treatment is restricted if you have a tendency to form keloids. Treatment is restricted if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have inflammation or infection in the treatment area.

  • Will I have swelling or bruising after treatment?

Bruising, swelling, and stiffness may occur, and in most cases these improve within 1–2 weeks. You may feel a foreign-body sensation or tightness in the treated area. Other side effects may rarely occur; we explain them in detail during your consultation before treatment.
