How It Works and How It Is Performed

Warming the Dermis Evenly
A single type of radiofrequency tightens within the skin, addressing elasticity, fine lines, and pores across the whole face together.
Dedicated tips for the eye area and the body are kept separately so that each area is treated carefully.

Energy Is Adjusted to the Skin with Every Pulse
This is because the degree to which electricity passes differs from skin to skin, so even the same intensity delivers different amounts of heat.
A coolant and a vibration function help reduce the burden of pain.
Frequently Asked Questions
I'm deciding between Thermage and Ultherapy. Which should I choose?
Thermage is a tightening treatment that uses monopolar radiofrequency to firm the full thickness of the dermis, so it addresses overall loss of elasticity, fine lines, and pores together. Ultherapy is a lifting treatment that pulls up the deeper fascial layer. The choice is made based on where the sagging is and on skin thickness.
How painful is the treatment?
How much pain is felt varies from person to person, so we explain it during your consultation. Skin resistance is measured with every shot to automatically calibrate the energy, a cryogen spray protects the skin surface, and a vibration function eases the burden of pain during treatment.
When do the results appear, and how often should I have the treatment?
Rather than immediately after treatment, results appear gradually over 2–6 months and may vary from person to person. The treatment is usually received about once a year, though this may vary with your skin condition.
Can it also be done around the eyes or on the body?
Thermage has separate tips for the face and eye area and for the body. The tip is selected according to the treatment area, so if you would like to include the eye area or body, please tell us which areas you want treated during your consultation.
Can I verify that genuine Thermage is used and how many shots are given?
At LOERE, after treatment you will receive a certificate of authenticity showing your name, treatment date, and number of shots. You can confirm the areas to be treated and the number of shots during your consultation.
Are there cases in which I cannot have the treatment?
Treatment cannot be performed if you have metal, a pacemaker, or an implantable defibrillator in your body. Contact lenses and metal accessories are removed before treatment. Treatment is restricted during pregnancy or if there is inflammation, a wound, or a skin condition in the treatment area. Please let us know during your consultation which areas have previously been treated with filler or a thread lift, and when. If the same area was treated, the treatment is performed after 2 months have passed.
Will my skin turn red or swell after treatment?
Temporary redness, warmth, and swelling may occur, and in most cases these improve within a few days. Other side effects may rarely occur; we explain them in detail during your consultation before treatment.
