How It Works and How It Is Performed

Clarity II device

Using Whichever of the Two Lasers Suits the Skin and Hair

One laser of Clarity II suits lighter skin tones and fine hair, while the other, which reaches deeper, suits darker skin tones and coarse hair.
Energy is delivered to the hair roots while a cold coolant, rather than gel, protects the skin surface.

Treatment Time Is Short Because the Laser Is Fired Continuously With a Roller

A roller attached to the handpiece automatically overlaps the spots it fires on little by little as the laser is fired.
We recommend a treatment interval of 4 weeks, and the number of sessions needed varies with the amount of hair.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is hair removal done with the same settings even if my skin is darker or my hair is coarse?

The 755nm or 1064nm wavelength and settings are chosen according to skin tone and hair type. 755nm suits lighter skin tones and fine hair, while 1064nm reaches deeper and suits darker skin tones and coarse hair. The same settings are not used for every area.

  • How many hair removal sessions will I need?

At LOERE, we advise 4-week intervals as the standard, and the number of sessions needed varies with the amount of hair and your progress. Rather than fixing the number of sessions from the start, we check the treatment area and the condition of the hair to make a plan.

  • Is the treatment very painful?

The degree of pain varies with the area and hair type. The treatment is performed while cryogen cooling protects the skin surface, without gel.

  • Which areas can be treated for hair removal?

It is used on areas where hair keeps growing and bothers you, such as the face, underarms, arms, and legs. You can also consult us if your skin is often irritated by shaving or waxing.

  • Are there cases in which I cannot have the treatment?

Please let us know in advance if you have recently tanned heavily or had intense UV exposure, or if you are taking photosensitizing medication. Treatment is restricted during pregnancy or if there is inflammation, a wound, or a skin condition in the treatment area.

  • Will my skin turn red or swell after treatment?

Temporary redness, warmth, and swelling may occur, and in most cases these improve within a few days. Other side effects may rarely occur; we explain them in detail during your consultation before treatment.
