Sculptra, Recommended For
- Those with hollowness at the sides or front of the cheeks, or at the temples
- Those who would rather see volume build up gradually over several months than be filled right away
- Those who want to restore volume while also addressing a sagging look

How It Works and How It Is Performed

Stimulating Collagen Production
Sculptra stimulates collagen production with PLLA, and change appears over several months.

Treatment Areas and Points to Note
It is used in hollow areas on the sides and front of the cheeks and at the temples.
Because lumps (nodules) may rarely develop, it is not used in the under-eye area or forehead, where the skin is thin and nodules would be easily visible.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Sculptra add volume right away like filler?
Sculptra works by stimulating collagen production with PLLA, so change appears over several months, and the degree may vary from person to person. It differs from treatments such as hyaluronic acid filler that aim for volume immediately after injection.
How many sessions will I need?
At LOERE, we recommend at least 3 sessions at 4-week intervals. Because the change develops over time, we do not judge by how it looks right after injection; the plan is decided while monitoring your progress.
What is the difference between Sculptra and Juvelook Volume?
Sculptra contains PLLA, and Juvelook contains PDLLA. The choice depends on your skin condition and the location of hollow areas, such as the sides and front of the cheeks or the temples.
I've heard lumps (nodules) can form. Is that a concern?
Lumps may form in rare cases. We explain this possibility before treatment and provide aftercare instructions to help prevent clumping. If you notice a lump or an intense feeling of heat, please contact the clinic right away.
Can Sculptra also be injected under the eyes or on the forehead?
At LOERE, Sculptra is not used under the eyes or on the forehead. It is used mainly to treat hollow areas at the sides and front of the cheeks and at the temples. If your concern is the under-eye area or forehead, we discuss other methods suited to that area.
Are there cases in which I cannot have the treatment?
Treatment is restricted if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have inflammation or infection in the treatment area.
Will I have swelling or bruising after treatment?
Bruising, swelling, and stiffness may occur, and in most cases these improve within 1–2 weeks. Other side effects may rarely occur; we explain them in detail during your consultation before treatment.
